More and more authors are choosing the independent publishing route for eBook sales. But for these authors, writing a good book is sometimes the easy part. A good cover enhances the book, informs the genre, and generates sales. Interior layout and typography is also critically important to a user's experience.
Let me help you with a professional cover and interior design. Below are some samples, all based on the public domain book Pride and Prejudice. Be sure to slide your cursor over each picture to show the full sized cover. I can design covers in any size and resolution, using provided artwork or working directly with you to create just the right look and feel. Inside typography samples using XML and InDesign will be coming shortly.

Even using stock art, I can make a cover special. Here's a look at a progression from a stock art piece, courtesy of Romance Novel Covers, to a completed, individualized cover. Ebook and digital designers often need to save money where they can, and stock art can be very helpful, yet you can still get a unique look.
This is the piece I purchased, as is.
I did not like the color of the dress, so I experimented a bit. I tried the pink.
I initially settled on this silver. Also note that I warmed up the skin tones did some cosmetic correction (minor) then applied a painterly effect.
I found a nice moody background to add.
I moved the models to fill more of the screen and aslo tweaked the background.
Here it is with typography. After lots of time with the silver dress I decided I wanted to go back to blue, but a deeper, richer blue.
