More and more authors are choosing the independent publishing route for eBook sales. But for these authors, writing a good book is sometimes the easy part. A good cover enhances the book, informs the genre, and generates sales. Interior layout and typography is also critically important to a user's experience.
Let me help you with a professional cover and interior design. Below are some samples, all based on the public domain book Pride and Prejudice. Be sure to slide your cursor over each picture to show the full sized cover. Experimenting with Color
I did not like the color of the dress, so I experimented a bit. I tried the pink.

More color plus warmth
I initially settled on this silver. Also note that I warmed up the skin tones did some cosmetic correction (minor) then applied a painterly effect.

Adding background
I found a nice moody background to add.

Positioning
I moved the models to fill more of the screen and aslo tweaked the background.

Final cover
Here it is with typography. After lots of time with the silver dress I decided I wanted to go back to blue, but a deeper, richer blue.
